Bursary


Bury College University Centre is able to offer additional support if you are progressing directly from a Bury College level 3 full-time course onto a full-time higher education course. A £500 bursary will be paid each academic year of your course in two instalments and is subject to the conditions detailed below.


Eligibility for bursary

In order for you to receive the above bursary you must meet the following criteria:

• You must have commenced one of the following undergraduate course of study in September 2018 or later at Bury College University Centre and be paying full-time tuition fees. Fees must be paid via tuition fee loan or you must be self-funded.

• Beauty Management HND

• Business and Enterprise FdA

• Creative Media Production FdA

• Criminology and Sociology BSc (Hons)

• Design Media Make-up Foundation Degree (FdSc)

• Hairdressing Management HND

• Health Care Foundation Degree (FdA)

• International Tourism Management Degree BSc (Hons)

• Public Services HND

• Sports Science and Coaching Foundation Degree (FdSc)

• Working with Children and Families (Children, Young People and Families) BA (Hons)

• The bursary will be paid to you on your first higher education course and not on subsequent courses.

• You must have successfully completed a Level 3 qualification (e.g. A Levels, Advanced Diploma, or Advanced Apprenticeship) at Bury College in the academic year 2016/17.

• Payments will be made in two instalments (50% in October and 50% in April) of each consecutive academic year of
undergraduate study subject to achieving at least 90% attendance and satisfactory academic progress.

• Payments will be terminated if you withdraw, are suspended, transfer to another institution or fail your programme of study.
